Church Services
A place to meet and worship God.
Sunday Worship
The 8am Eucharist is said using the Church of England's Common Worship liturgy and includes Bible readings, prayers, and a short sermon, as well as the sharing of bread and wine in Holy Communion. It usually lasts about half an hour.
The Parish Eucharist at 10am on the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Sundays is a traditional service, using the Church of England's Common
Worship liturgy. Music is led by the organ and/or music group and choir.
Clergy
are robed and the gospel and candles are processed. A sermon is given
and prayers of intercession offered to God. Occasionally incense may be
used. The service usually lasts just over an hour.
On the 2nd Sunday of the month there is a more informal All Age Service at 10am when the children and young people share in leading worship through drama, song and dance. The service may include Holy Communion or it may be a Service of the Word and lasts about an hour.
Children and young people are an integral part of our church
family and are always welcome at our services. At 9:45am on Sundays
during term time (except the second Sunday of the month) there are fully
supervised activities for children in the School Hall. Those aged 3-14
can attend Sunday Club. The children join the main congregation
for communion.
+NRG is a group for young people aged 11-15 and
usually meets on the every Sunday from 4 - 5.30pm in the
School Hall. Those in Year 10 can move up into RESPECT who meet weekly. Activities for all
the groups are advertised on the weekly news sheet, in Leybourne
Voice (our monthly parish magazine) and on the Young People's pages
of the website.
Music is an important part of our worship and the Choir, which is robed, is open to interested adults, young people and children aged 7 years and over. We also welcome instrumentalists. The Choir has produced various CDs over the last few years and we have had several successful concerts.

at 12:00.
